Property Alliance Group and Starwood Capital have received planning consent for a new residential scheme at their £210m GDV mixed-use redevelopment of the Renaissance site on Deansgate, Manchester.
Manchester City Council has approved detailed plans for the Jon Matthews Architects-designed One Cathedral Square luxury 300-home apartment building, which will sit adjacent to a new 50,000 sq ft office building and the four-star Treehouse Hotel.
The building will provide one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, including four penthouse apartments, offering views across the city. The amenity provision includes a cinema room, gym and lounge, plus private gardens and a communal roof terrace.

Construction of the scheme’s office building has already started and works will commence on the residential scheme later this year.
Avison Young was the planning consultant for One Cathedral Square. JLL and Alliance Investments have been selected as agents for the apartments.
