Living developer and operator Re:shape has bolstered its team with two new hires.

Matt Lloyd-Ruck has joined the business from Savills as associate planning director and will lead on urban design and planning.

Re:shape has also hired Veronica Ortega Peregrina, formerly of ARK Living, who will oversee community engagement, social impact and operational planning from inception through to stabilisation.

The appointments coincide with Re:shape’s move into its new, headquarters at 1 Blanford Street in Marylebone.

Lloyd-Ruck said: “What attracted me to Re:shape was the clarity of vision and reputation. This is a company with genuine conviction around housing delivery, inclusive placemaking, mixed communities and long-term operational living. The alignment between planning, delivery and operations remains rare, and increasingly necessary in current conditions.”

Peregrina added: “I’m excited to be working day to day with Jermaine and Charlie again, building on our previous success with the ARK platform, and now supporting the execution of their next vision.

Jermaine Browne, co-founder of Re:shape, said: “These are some of the most challenging market conditions London has faced in years, with ongoing pressure on viability and delivery. But the structural housing shortage remains unchanged. Our focus is on delivering co-living alongside social housing in locations where demand significantly exceeds supply, particularly for single-person and family housing. Execution capability is now the key constraint in the market. The team we are building, strengthened by recent senior hires, materially improves our placemaking, operational and ESG competences for a constrained planning and funding environment.”
