The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has agreed a deal to relocate to new headquarters in Canary Wharf next year.
The SFO, which has been based at the Canadian High Commission in Cockspur Street since 2012, said the move to Cabot Square will provide modern offices that “enhance our operational capability and provide a better working environment for all our employees”.
The building is already home to other government organisations, including the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and the Office of Rail and Road.
The SFO had planned to relocate to the government hub at 10 South Colonnade in the 2024-25 financial year, but the move was cancelled following the decision to prioritise operational resourcing requirements at the 2024 Autumn Budget.
It is understood the SFO currently occupies circa 30,000 sq ft at Cockspur Street, which is owned by the Crown Estate, and that its new office will be of a similar size.
Graham McNulty, chief operating officer of the SFO, said: “This move will be an investment in our future, providing accommodation that supports our unique operational needs as we continue our important work tackling serious fraud, bribery and corruption.”
