Softcat has taken 35,000 sq ft of fully fitted office space at Manchester Goods Yard.

The company has taken the space on the sixth floor of the scheme, which is located at the heart of Manchester’s Enterprise City neighborhood.

Matt Newton, head of property and workplace at Softcat, said: “This move marks another significant step forward as we continue with the real estate upgrade of our most strategic offices. Manchester is a vibrant and dynamic city, known for its strong business environment and rich cultural heritage. Moving from the periphery of the city to the centre will give us better access to customers and transport links.

“We are confident that this relocation will provide us with the space and resources needed to continue supporting our team’s growth and better serve our customers. We look forward to the opportunities this move will bring and are excited to be a part of Manchester’s thriving business community.”

Adam Robson, director in LSH’s Manchester office advisory team, which acted for Softcat on the lease assignment deal, added:  “We were pleased to work with Softcat to conduct a city centre search for new premises and ultimately acquire the sixth floor of Manchester Goods Yard. Softcat’s continuing commitment to Manchester highlights the region’s attraction to many large corporates; with its diverse labour pool and excellent transport infrastructure, making it a prime North West destination to do business.”

The assignor was advised by OBI.
