A development site in Southwark, South London, with a GDV of £175m has been brought to market.
Knight Frank has been appointed to sell the freehold of the Camberwell Quarter, which is currently an industrial estate, either as a single 3.9-acre site or as individual plots.
The site comes with a resolution to grant planning permission for 375 residential units, 5,118 sq m (circa 55,000 sq ft) of flexible commercial space and 112 sq m (1,200 sq ft) of community floorspace within 12 blocks ranging from two to 13 storeys.
Nick Alderman, a partner in the development land team at Knight Frank, said: “Camberwell Quarter is a fantastically flexible site with a huge amount of potential to be acquired either as a whole site or separate lots for either residential or commercial development. The location in the heart of zone two with excellent access to the City, the West End and the Southbank makes it a suitable site either for new homes, the service industry or last-mile logistics. With a resolution to grant planning permission already in place, we are extremely confident this will pique the interest of many different investors.
“Located on the south side of Burgess Park, the site benefits from close proximity to the creativity of Brixton, the vibrancy of Peckham and the extensive regeneration underway at Elephant & Castle. All this combines to create a rich mix of cultures, uses and opportunities which is apparent in the site’s current form and future proposals.”
