Taiyo Power & Storage has secured planning consent for a 9MWp extension to the Moss Farm solar project in Sefton, Merseyside.
The project will power more than 6,000 homes via clean electricity, reducing carbon emissions and strengthening energy resilience in the region.
The consent, which has been granted for a 40-year period, includes habitat enhancements such as hedgerow and meadow grassland planting, resulting in a biodiversity net gain of 133.85% for the site.
The extension is part of a larger scheme led by Taiyo – Kajima Partnership’s joint venture with Low Carbon Alliance – to deliver approximately 22MWp of renewable energy across adjoining sites.
