Lifestyle brand Ted Baker has taken 2,500 sq ft at Sovereign Centros’ Merry Hill centre in the West Midlands.

So far this year the landlord has completed new leasing deals, re-gears, refurbishments and renewals on almost 140,000 sq ft of space at the centre, with the likes of Kurt Geiger (2,000 sq ft), Dune (1,600 sq ft) and Superdry (10,000 sq ft).

Lush and Hotel Chocolat, recently renewed their leases, HMV relocated to a 12,200 sq ft store and Game has renewed the lease on its 2,300 sq ft store.

Graeme Jones, director at Sovereign Centros, said: “The signing of Ted Baker to Merry Hill is a great moment for the destination, and is yet another premium brand to commit. Positioned alongside the likes of Kurt Geiger, Dune and a soon to be upsized Beaverbrooks, this is another vote of confidence in Merry Hill that reinforces its position as one of the leading destinations in the UK.”

JLL and Time Retail Partners represent Merry Hill. McMullen acted for Ted Baker.
