Tritax Big Box Developments (TBBD), the development arm of Tritax Big Box REIT (TBBR), has appointed Jonathan Wallis as managing director as part of a strategic transition.

In his new role, Wallis, who is a member of TBBD’s board and head of the Northampton office, will take responsibility for leading the day-to-day operations of the business.

After three and a half years as managing director of TBBD, Andrew Dickman will move into the role of chairman and will remain engaged in key strategic projects, while focusing on strengthening client relationships, and leading on stakeholder engagement to champion the company and the wider industry.

Wallis and Dickman will work collaboratively with TBBR’s team and its board of directors and will inform the strategic direction of the business alongside fellow TBBD directors and board members, Tom Leeming and Will Oliver.

Dickman said: “I am proud of the thriving business we’ve built and have every confidence in Jonathan’s ability to take the business forward, particularly as he has played a key role in shaping TBBD’s culture, delivery model and strategy to date. My decision to step into the role of TBBD chairman at this time reflects my passion for future-proofing the logistics sector. This move will enable me to continue to help deliver key strategic projects for clients while dedicating more time to championing the logistics sector and the vital role it plays in the health of the UK economy.”

Wallis added: “I am honoured to lead TBBD into its next chapter of growth. Under Andrew’s leadership, we’ve established ourselves as a thriving business and a market leader in UK logistics. This planned transition ensures stability and continuity for our business, as we continue to deliver on our ambitions, creating sector-defining, future-ready logistics developments and long-term value for our stakeholders. I look to the future with confidence and excitement.”
