Vastint UK has appointed Dan Westley, former commercial leasing director at Battersea Power Station, to the role of head of portfolio UK.
Westley, who has more than 16 years of commercial and real estate experience, spent eight and a half years at Battersea, where he helped to shape the high-profile regeneration project.
In his new role, he will lead Vastint’s nationwide commercial strategy, leasing and asset management across its 1.5m sq ft commercial portfolio and will drive forward its large-scale regenerations of Sugar House Island in East London, Aire Park in Leeds and the Embankment in Cardiff.
Westley will report into Vastint UK managing director Stephen Lindley and succeeds Michael Cronin, who is leaving the business after 14 years of service.
Westley said: “Having spent my career working on some of the UK’s most transformative developments, I’m delighted to now be taking on responsibility for Vastint UK’s nationwide portfolio of exemplar urban regeneration programmes. It’s a great opportunity for me to move from working on a single site to working across a number of large-scale neighbourhoods, with different identities and at different stages in their regeneration stories.
“I’ve long admired Vastint’s approach to characterful design, placemaking that prioritises connection with local history and context, and long-term stewardship to establish places over time. It’s a privilege to be playing such a key role in shaping its next phase of growth and supporting the teams on the evolution of Sugar House Island and Aire Park.”
