Vistry Group has partnered with housing association First Choice Homes Oldham to deliver 147 affordable and energy efficient homes on the site of the former Oldham Mumps Railway Station.
Upon completion, First Choice Homes Oldham will make 98 of the homes available for social rent, 40 for shared ownership and nine for rent-to-buy.
The Southlink brownfield site, which is situated in Oldham town centre and is jointly owned by Oldham Borough Council and Transport for Greater Manchester, has been vacant since the railway shut in 2009. A planning application for the new development has been submitted to Oldham Borough Council.
