Waitrose has acquired the freehold of Hersham Green Shopping Centre in Surrey for an undisclosed price.
The 54,000 sq ft centre comprises a 27,000 sq ft Waitrose store, 16 retail units and car parking for the shopping centre and wider village.
In 2024, Elmbridge Borough Council rejected Quadrant Repurpose’s plans to redevelop the site, which included the delivery of 109 homes on the centre’s car park.

This acquisition reflects our long-term commitment to the village and provides certainty for our customers and our partners, who work hard to serve the local community. We have been part of Hersham for two decades and we look forward to playing a role in the village’s continued success for many years to come.”
