Chicken wing restaurant Wingstop has signed for a 2,650 sq ft unit at the Merry Hill shopping centre in the West Midlands.

The unit, which can accommodate up to 70 diners, is located on Merry Hill’s upper mall opposite the recently opened wagamama.

Alistair Winning, asset manager at Sovereign Centros, said: “Wingstop has international renown, so it makes for an ideal addition to our culinary line-up at Merry Hill. Alongside the successful opening of wagamama earlier this year and Hollywood Bowl more recently, the upcoming arrival of Wingstop is evidence of the continued growth we’re seeing at Merry Hill, particularly for our new leisure quarter. We look forward to seeing Wingstop open later this year, adding an extra layer of choice to an already incredibly diverse collection of brands here.”

Tom Grogan, co-founder and director of Wingstop UK, added: “Launching our latest Wingstop location at Merry Hill represents not only our commitment to expanding Wingstop nationwide but also our dedication to becoming a staple in the West Midlands. Having already been warmly embraced in Birmingham, we’re thrilled to bring our unique flavours and experience to even more fans in the region. Joining the vibrant community of F&B retailers within the destination is a prospect we’re eagerly looking forward to.”

JLL and Time Retail Partners represented Merry Hill and Brasier Freeth acted for Wingstop UK.
