Mission Street and BentallGreenOak (BGO) have appointed agents to inform the marketing strategy of their Urban Innovation Campus development in Cambridge.

A masterplan for the 23-acre site has been designed by Hawkins Brown Architects and DTRE and CBRE will now work with Mission Street to develop the masterplan and ensure the space delivered responds to current and emerging market trends.

Artem Korolev, founder and CEO of Mission Street, said: “The designs of our masterplan have significantly evolved over the past 18 months, responding to a highly engaged public consultation and focusing on what occupiers and the public actually desire. It is great to have two of the market’s leading agents on board who share our vision and enthusiasm for creating a pioneering environment aimed at becoming the destination of choice for innovation. We look forward to working with them to ensure the scheme reaches its full potential.”

Matt Smith, head of life science agency at DTRE, added: “Mission Street and BGO’s Urban Innovation Campus development is a prime example of how considered and tailored property solutions can inspire and enable businesses to focus on the science they do best. Cambridge continues to attract world-leading innovators, and this development is delivering to a pressing need for highest quality, specialist spaces.”

Chris Williams, head of life sciences – London and South East at CBRE, said: “This is a really important instruction for CBRE, it will be a key new innovation district adjacent to the city centre aligning with the drive for the urbanisation of science. It is a much-needed purpose-built environment that enables the advancement of science and technology in one of the world’s leading centres of discovery.”
