Woodall Homes has unveiled plans to transform a Grade II listed farm in Nottingham into a luxury housing development.
Bulcote Corporation Model Farm, which is located on Old Main Road in Bulcote, was built by Nottingham Corporation in 1904 and was designed around a quadrangle with several red brick buildings providing shelter for livestock and crop storage.
Midlands Land Portfolio and Northern Trust Land instructed Fisher German on the sale of the site in 2021 and in July 2022 detailed planning permission for a development of up to 65 properties, including 41 new build homes and 24 conversions of former farm buildings and stables, was approved.
Matthew Handford, senior associate at Fisher German, said: “We are extremely pleased to complete the sale of Bulcote Farm. This was a complex site, with planning permission being granted for the new build homes on condition of the restoration of the conversion and restoration work to the farm buildings being completed first. The highway works also needed to be completed before the new build properties could be constructed, which involved a package of work relating to a nearby railway line and to widen Old Main Road and provide a footpath.
“Our expertise meant that we were able to successfully market the site and secure the right purchaser for the project. We are delighted that this development will now be going to the next stage in this highly sought-after area since it is unusual to have new build properties and the conversion of existing farm buildings on one site.”
