Yoo Capital and Places for People have joined forces to deliver hundreds of new affordable homes at the Camden Film Quarter development in Kentish Town.
Half of the land at the mixed-use campus, which is owned by Yoo Capital, will be dedicated to high-quality, affordable homes.
As well as providing homes for people in the local area, the residential element of the scheme will also draw in new residents from the creative community and surrounding areas to create a “first of its kind creative neighbourhood”.
Lloyd Lee, managing partner at Yoo Capital, said: “Our partnership with Places for People is a clear demonstration of our dedication to the needs of the community, enabling us to bring forward 50% affordable housing across the land we own in the Camden Film Quarter campus.

Councillor Danny Beales, cabinet member for new homes, jobs and community investment at Camden Council, said: “We know that there is a chronic shortage of suitable, affordable family homes in Camden and across London. This agreement guarantees that 50% of the new homes built on the land Yoo Capital have bought will be genuinely affordable, fit for purpose and will ensure that we can develop a thriving neighbourhood for local people that provides good jobs and opportunities for our existing communities as well as being a beacon for creativity.
“We will be working with residents on realising a shared community vision and getting residents’ thoughts at every stage. We see this development as a way to help combat many of the issues residents are facing in Camden.”
