Pocket Living’s plans for an affordable homes scheme on land adjacent to Snaresbrook station, in East London, have been approved by Redbridge planning committee.
The 100% affordable scheme will deliver 74 new homes available to first time buyers who live or work in Redbridge at a 20% discount compared with the local market.
The scheme forms part of the wider work being undertaken to deliver more affordable homes by TTL Properties (TTLP) – Transport for London’s wholly owned commercial property company – and is the second project Pocket Living has worked on with TTLP.
Alex Shillito, senior development manager at Pocket Living, said: “We are delighted that the planning committee decided in favour of our 100% affordable housing application. When it comes to housing, young people on middle incomes are too often overlooked and these homes will play a vital role in pricing in 17,000 Redbridge households into home ownership.”

The Snaresbrook homes are expected to be complete by 2026 and will deliver 15% of the council’s annual affordable housing targets.
