Real estate development lending platform Precede Capital Partners has announced that Daljit Sandhu – one of the firm’s co-founders – is stepping down from her role as COO to explore new opportunities.

Sandhu co-founded Precede Capital (then Précis Capital) in 2021, alongside Randeesh Sandhu and Karen Dunstan, and has been instrumental in building a platform which has secured the backing of two blue-chip institutional investors, as well as assembling a team which has arranged £1.7bn in development loans.

Daljit Sandhu said: “I am immensely proud of everything we have achieved since we first launched the platform over two years ago. In that time, we have provided significant capital to high-quality real estate projects across the UK, all while supporting the delivery of a truly sustainable residential sector.

“The time has come for me to explore wider private market opportunities, such as my longstanding interests in private equity, venture and tech. I would like to thank our investors and borrowers for their support. Our success to date has been founded on the hard work and dedication of our exceptional team, and I look forward to seeing the business continue to go from strength to strength.”

Randeesh Sandhu added: “Daljit has made an enormous contribution to both the creation and evolution of Precede Capital. In addition to playing a key role in securing the backing of industry-leading partners, she has operated seamlessly at the heart of the business, spearheading people management, governance, digital transformation, our unique brand and marketing, and our ESG strategy. The board and team wish her the very best for the future as she looks to pursue other opportunities.”

Sandhu will retain her shareholding in the business. Precede Capital said it has agreed terms with a new COO who will start the role in early 2024.
