BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Jason Smith from Eddisons as a director in its valuations team.
Smith, who will be based in the company’s Newcastle office, has more than 25 years’ valuation experience. He was a director at Eddisons and prior to that he spent 10 years at Christie & Co.
Aidan Baker, head of Newcastle office at BNP Paribas Real Estate, said: ”Jason is an exceptional advisor with a very strong client base. He has been operating in the north of England since 1993, so he knows this region incredibly well. Our regional valuation business has gone from strength to strength in recent years and we expect this to continue as the need for accurate valuations becomes ever important in an illiquid and competitive market.”
Jim Crafford, who took on the new role of head of valuation UK at BNP Paribas Real Estate in May, added: “We offer our clients a truly holistic service across all main asset classes and UK geography, playing to the strengths of both BNP Paribas Real Estate and Strutt & Parker brands, as one integrated entity.
“Our offering is unique, as the only real estate adviser to be part of a global financial group, we follow the highest standards of compliance and conflict management procedures, underpinned by proprietary in-house data and research, to provide reliable assessments that track an asset’s value and performance.”
