The Grade II-listed Lock & Key Hotel in Liverpool city centre has been put up for sale.

The boutique hotel, which is located in a Georgian townhouse on Duke Street and recently feature in The Sunday Times’ list of the top 100 British hotels, offers 26-bedrooms across three storeys in addition to a private lounge, bar and restaurant on the ground floor.

The original section of the hotel at 15-17 Duke Street recently underwent a £800,000 repositioning and extensive refurbishment.

Shaun Skidmore, senior director in CBRE’s operational real estate team, which has been appointed to market the opportunity, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for potential investors to acquire a high performing, stunning hotel in a prime part of Liverpool city centre, as well as being close to some key regeneration developments and famous landmarks.

“The building is a best-in-class, contemporary specification which retains the original character features. This is a prime investment opportunity in a city with world famous arts and culture, heritage of global significance, a diverse economy and world leading education.”
