Henry Davidson Developments (HDD) has received planning approval for 20,720 sq ft industrial scheme at Lichfield Road Industrial Estate in Tamworth.
The 10-unit scheme will be built on a currently unused 0.77 hectare brownfield site.
Scott Davidson, managing director of HDD, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to develop this site and provide new jobs for Tamworth. The design of this scheme and size of units opens up a variety of opportunities to the local market, or for businesses from elsewhere to invest in Tamworth.”
Laura Stops, associate partner at Carter Jonas in Birmingham, which advised HDD on the planning application, added: “We are extremely pleased to have been awarded unanimous consent from Tamworth Borough Council. Over the last year, we have worked closely with the project team, local planning authority and consultees in addressing all issues in relation to the application.
“The fact that we have received unanimous support is testament to a very successful planning process. We look forward to seeing the development come forward and provide employment opportunities for local people.”
Construction is due to commence in the summer this year and the scheme is anticipated to complete in early spring 2025.
