Knight Frank has appointed Philipp Ueberschaer from JLL as EMEA head of occupier strategy and solutions.

Ueberschaer, who has more than 18 years’ real estate experience, spent the last 17 years working in the occupier business at JLL and was most recently managing director of the firm’s international desk in New York.

In his new role, he will be based in London and work closely with Mike Bowden, managing director of Europe, Anthony Duggan, chair of Europe, and Tim Armstrong, global head of occupier strategy and solutions, to grow the firm’s European occupier platform.

Armstrong said: “As global occupier requirements become increasingly complex, we’re very pleased to bring Philipp on board to lead across EMEA. He brings with him a huge amount of experience and is expertly placed to drive our expansion in the region. Our occupier platform has been on a dynamic journey of growth and transformation over the last few years. Along with geographical expansion, we’ve evolved the service offering, regularly securing multi-market mandates and household name accounts.

“In recognition of this we recently promoted Ross Criddle, James Waterhouse, and James Bartolo in the critical areas of global portfolio solutions, occupier analytics and multi market tenant rep, respectively. Under Philipp’s leadership as EMEA head of the occupier strategy and solutions service line, we have the people, platform and offering to accelerate and fulfil our ambitious expansion goals across Europe.”

Duggan added: “Philipp is an exciting hire and feeds into our strategic ambition to supercharge our European platform around our global service lines of occupier strategy and solutions, capital markets, residential and valuation and advisory. Philipp brings fantastic leadership experience to the region and will provide our global occupier clients with seamless support across our network.”
