Savills raised more than £62m across a two-day online auction earlier this week, with 178 commercial, mixed use and residential properties going under the gavel.
Ten lots sold for more than £1m and three residential properties in Chelsea – including four self-contained flats on Radcliffe Road (pictured) – sold for more than £3m.
Commercial property highlights included a Grade II-listed building comprising a banqueting hall, 20 office suites and 50 car parking spaces and a freehold mixed-use property in Brixton, providing ground floor commercial units and residential above, sold for £1.97m.
Gary Murphy, auctions director at Savills, said: “We were delighted to see continued momentum in the auction room yesterday with a success rate of 79%. The lively spring sale, and the first of Q2, showcased a robust mix of residential, commercial and development opportunities bought under the gavel.
“Over the course of both days, noteworthy residential and commercial properties commanded hammer prices exceeding £1m. This not only reflects a broader market confidence among investors, developers, and end-users but also underscores the enduring appeal of properties offering the right mix of price and location, driving healthy competition and some exceptional prices. We’re already busy working on our next catalogue for the first of our two sales that will be held in May which will continue to serve strong client demand.”
