Mace has promoted Andy Beard to the role of managing director for infrastructure in Europe at Mace Consult.
Beard joined Mace in 2022 and has spent the last two years leading the group’s cost and commercial service. Prior to joining Mace, he was a partner at Arcadis and previously held leadership positions at Gatwick and Heathrow airports, Thames Water, Network Rail, Tideway and TfL and London Underground.
In his new role, he will head up Mace’s UK and European mobility, resilience, defence and national security consultancy teams, overseeing delivery of some of the most complex and challenging infrastructure delivery schemes across UK, Ireland and the continent.
Mace has also recruited Ceri Evans from Bechtel as the new global lead for cost and commercial for Mace Consult. She will work with the team to build on the foundations that Beard has developed over the last two years.
Jason Millett, Mace’s deputy group chief executive and CEO of Mace Consult, said: “Our infrastructure work in Europe continues to grow from strength to strength, and the creation of this role – and Andy’s appointment into it – marks a significant moment for Mace Consult as we continue to target some of the continent’s most complex and challenging projects. I look forward to working with Andy as he works with our teams across Europe; from Reykjavik to Amsterdam, and from Warsaw to Dublin, Suffolk and Somerset.
“At the same time, Ceri’s appointment to lead the cost and commercial team will ensure that we’re able to build on the strong foundations Andy has left – her record of exceptional project and programme delivery is a fantastic match for our ambitious cost and commercial expertise.”
