Prideview Group raised £40,000 for charity at its 12th annual #PrideviewCricketCup, which was held at Merchant Taylor’s School in Northwood, Greater London, this week.
The six-a-side cricket tournament was won by Major Estates Harrow for the third year on the trot with event newcomers Spector Constant & Williams securing the runners-up spot.
Each of the teams featured a former international cricketer with Herschelle Gibbs (South Africa), Owais Shah (England), Saj Mahmood (England), Alex Tudor (England), Usman Afzal (Pakistan) and Ali Brown (England) putting in appearances.
The event also featured a live ‘in conversation with’ interview with award-winning journalist and author Mihir Bose in addition to online and live fund-raising auctions.
The tournament was held to raise money for One Kind Act, which seeks to create a sustainable improvement in the lives of people suffering from poverty of health and education around the world.
This year’s funds are being split between three charities: Made with Hope, supporting disadvantaged children in Tanzania with education and menstrual support; YUVA Unstoppable, which provides basic needs and educational support to children in India; and property industry charity LandAid.
