US law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has agreed a significant lease extension and expansion of its offices at 90 High Holborn in London.
The firm has expanded its existing space in the building, which is owned by Lab Tech, from 50,000 sq ft to 67,000 sq ft on multiple leases which run to 2034.
Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan initially took a single floor in 90 High Holborn in 2017 and will now occupy three and a half floors of the building, which was originally developed by Minerva in 2003 as the headquarters of Olswang.
Alex Gerbi, co-managing partner of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan’s London office, said: “We have a great relationship with our landlord, Lab Tech, and have been able to work together to find a very attractive solution for our firm to remain at 90 High Holborn over the years to come whilst accommodating our ambitious plans for future growth.
“The location suits our business perfectly, being a short walk from the law courts and barristers’ chambers, and equidistant from our clients based both in the City and West End. We look forward to continuing the success of our business from these offices.”
Jack Tomlin, head of City tenant advisory at CBRE, added: “We are currently representing a number of international law firm clients who are navigating their way through a challenging market cycle, which is characterised by limited new development stock. We see significant value at present through refurbishment and repurposing opportunities, especially where growth and lease flexibility can be accommodated.”
