Cluttons has hired two new partners in the North of England as part of its regional growth strategy.

Chris Weights (pictured), who has worked in the property sector for 25 years most recently as head of valuation at LHV Bank, has joined the company’s commercial valuation team, and Nick Gregory, who previously worked at Fulkers Bailey Russell, Lovell Partnerships and Capita, has joined the project management team in Manchester.

Alongside these strategic hires, Cluttons has also recruited three graduate surveyors to bolster the team; Aidan Botham and Oliver Oldbury, who will be based in Manchester, and James Byrne in Newcastle.

John Gravett, managing director at Cluttons, said: “Since launching in 2020, our Manchester team has grown from strength to strength, tapping into demand for quality property expertise and consultancy. These two new partners will cement our position as a trusted advisor for complex and high-stake projects. This summer we’ve made several key strategic hires that demonstrate our commitment to growth and providing first-class services for our existing clients.”

Weights added: “It’s a great privilege to be joining Cluttons, a historic company that’s pursuing a bold expansion plan across the UK. This is undoubtedly an exciting time for the commercial valuation sector and I’m looking forward to building our presence in the North.”

Gregory said: “Cluttons’ market knowledge is unbeatable. The quality of the client base is a testament to the impact of the project management team and their expertise. The combination of my experience in the field and how the team has shaped a strategic growth strategy, I have no doubt we’ll create an even more robust team.”
