Cushman & Wakefield has bolstered its retail and leisure team hiring Mark Phelps and Jack Lloyd from Avison Young as partners.
Phelps, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the out-of-town market, is currently a principal at Avison Young and prior to that he served as an equity partner with Wilkinson Williams.
Lloyd is currently a director in Avison Young’s investment team, focused primarily on acquisitions and disposals in the retail parks and food stores sector. He has more than 15 years of industry experience and previously worked at Wilkinson Williams and DTZ. Lloyd and Phelps are due to join Cushman in the new year.
In their new roles, Phelps and Lloyd will work closely with Dominic Bouvet, head of UK retail and leisure at Cushman & Wakefield, and Marcus Wood, head of UK retail capital markets, and with the firm’s out-of-town retail and leisure specialists in the UK and EMEA.
Bouvet said: “Mark and Jack are standout performers in this part of the market and their experience and knowledge will be extremely appealing to our clients, many of whom are active in this space. Mark’s deep understanding of the leasing market, from both a landlord and occupier perspective, and Jack’s investment expertise complement and enhance the strengths of our existing team. Their combined insight into this important market segment will drive growth while adding value to our wider retail and leisure offer in areas such as valuation and advisory.”
