Lauder Teacher has appointed the Queen’s former press secretary Donal McCabe as executive chairman and chairman of the company’s international advisory board.
McCabe will work alongside the founders of the global strategic communications and investor relations consultancy, Colm Lauder and Andrew Teacher, offering board-level counsel and strategic direction on senior client engagements.
During his career, McCabe has held a series of senior roles at major organisations including Landsec, London Underground, Railtrack, Boots and Ladbrokes.
More recently, he served as communications secretary to Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace from 2019 and in recognition of his services, he was made a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO).
Lauder said: “Being able to make a difference to our clients means having both the lived experience and technical nous to guide them on day-to-day communications challenges or big strategic decisions. Donal’s experience – inside and outside of real estate – is of immense value to our clients and I’m hugely looking forward to working with him.”
