Spanish fashion retailer Mango has signed for a new 17,000 sq ft UK flagship store at 415-419 Oxford Street in London.

The retailer has signed a 10-year lease on the prime island site in the western section of the street. The 17,000 sq ft store spans the ground, basement and first floors.

Sam Foyle, co-head of global retail at Savills, which acted for the landlord on the letting, said: “Mango committing to a second site on one of the world’s most iconic high streets, and breathing life back into this unit, highlights the confidence that retailers have in London. Today’s deal is yet another example of the levels of demand for space on this renowned shopping destination, with our most recent research showing vacancy rates on Oxford Street at just 2.7% – the lowest level since Q2 2019.”

Sophie Wilson, director at Willson Green, which represents the Landlord, added: “We continue to invest a great deal of time, effort and monies repurposing 415-419 Oxford Street and are hugely excited to be welcoming Mango to take the flagship retail unit at the soon-to-be transformed building.

“We are confident that Mango will thrive in this destination and with their strong and desirable brand there will be a positive for the building, the immediate vicinity and for Oxford Street more generally helping to attract a diverse range of shoppers, visitors and other retailers and businesses, and further cementing Oxford Street’s status as a premier shopping and cultural hub.”
