Lendlease has secured planning consent for a landmark mixed-use building at its Smithfield development in Birmingham.
Designed by Bell Phillips and local practice Intervention Architecture, the new building will overlook Manor Square and provide 408 build-to-rent (BTR) homes, a health and wellbeing-inspired leisure facility and a mix of shops, bars and restaurants.
Outline plans for the 17-hectare Smithfield Birmingham site, which will provide more than 3,000 new homes, were unanimously approved by Birmingham City Council in June last year.
