Colliers has recruited Mark Girling as an executive director and head of the firm’s retail capital markets team.
Girling, who has more than 40 years’ retail and leisure investment experience across the UK and Europe, joins Colliers from Montagu Evans where he was head of capital markets – London.
He spent more than 20 years at Montagu Evans and founded the company’s commercial transactions department. Prior to that, Girling worked for CBRE and Knight Frank.
John Munday, CEO of Colliers UK, said: “We’re pleased that Mark has agreed to join Colliers, bringing a significant amount of expertise and transaction management experience, as well as connections in the investment market. His leadership experience will be invaluable for bringing our team and the wider business together to create opportunities and make strategic connections for our clients – in his areas of expertise and beyond.”
Girling added: “I’m excited to be joining Colliers at an interesting time in their evolution and the market generally. The depth of cross sector occupational and lease advisory expertise is seriously impressive and in an uncertain world, the stability and power of leveraging a global platform with such local strengths is attractive and reassuring to clients. There is a laser focus on pulling these diverse, expert service lines together domestically and from overseas, to empower our clients’ decision making and execution.”
