Lands Improvement has completed the final land sales at its £280m GDV High Leigh Garden Village development in Hoddesdon, Broxbourne.
The strategic land company has sold the development’s 2.2-acre mixed-use hub to Majesticare for an undisclosed price. Majesticare intends to deliver an 80-bed care-home, a 110-place nursery, a 4,000 sq ft convenience store and an EV charging station on the site.
Late last year, Lands Improvement sold 154 residential plots to Bellway and prior to that it agreed a joint venture agreement with Taylor Wimpey on 404 homes.
Lands Improvement secured outline planning permission for the 92.5-acre development in 2015. The masterplan for the site comprises 558 residential units, of which 40% are affordable, a two-form entry primary school, sports pitches and pavilion, a local shop, a hotel with ancillary gym and restaurant, a residential care home, commercial floor space, public open space and allotments.
