Long Harbour has appointed industry veteran Sylvain Fortier as a senior adviser.
Fortier, who has more than 30 years’ experience in real estate investment and financing, will provide independent oversight and strategic guidance across the firm’s investment strategies.
Following the completion of the management buyout Long Harbour is currently exploring, Fortier will become a non-executive director and will join the firm’s board. Long Harbour is looking to make a further non-executive director appointment in the second half of 2025.
He currently serves on the board of a REIT in Canada and is chairman and a non-executive director at M7 Real Estate. Prior to this, Fortier worked for Ivanhoe Cambridge/Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec for 18 years.
