Joint venture partners Vistry Group and Places for People have secured planning consent for 296 new homes at the Lower Herne Village development in Kent.
The new homes will comprise a mix of 188 private and 108 affordable homes with 76 for affordable rent and 32 for shared ownership.
The homes are being delivered in Phases C and D of the wider development, which will see 800 mixed-tenure homes delivered at Lower Herne Village over the next 10 years.
Brendan Evans, managing director for Vistry Kent, said: “Securing planning approval for Phases C and D enables us to maintain continuity with the earlier phases of Lower Herne Village, meaning we can build on the progress made at Greenwood Gardens where our first residents moved in earlier this year. To be delivered in partnership with Places for People, these 296 new homes will make a great contribution to the pressing need for high-quality new homes in the region, building on the thriving community that has been established here.”
