Knight Frank has appointed Matt Roper as a partner in the company’s London lease advisory team.

Roper, who has more than a decade of experience advising landlords and occupiers across London’s office markets, joins the firm from Daniel Watney where he was a partner.

Prior to that, he enjoyed stints at DTZ, Alexander Reece Thomson and Montagu Evans where he commenced his property career as a graduate surveyor.

In his new role, Roper will work across all core London submarkets, expanding beyond his previous focus on the City, Midtown and South Bank areas.

Roper said: “The London office market is undergoing significant change, with hybrid working, rising fit-out costs and a growing demand for flexibility all reshaping leasing strategies. I’m excited to be joining Knight Frank’s lease advisory team at such a pivotal time and look forward to helping clients navigate this evolving landscape with clear, evidence-based advice.”

James Thistle, partner and head of London lease advisory at Knight Frank, added: “Matt is an exceptional operator, and we are thrilled that he’s joined the team, spanning both the City and West End markets. His technical knowledge, commercial insight and methodical approach make him a fantastic addition to our growing lease advisory service. At a time when the market is rapidly evolving, Matt’s experience will help us continue to deliver exceptional advice to our clients and support their business objectives across London’s key office markets.”
