Gascoyne Estates has appointed Related Argent’s former head of retail, James Rayner, as estate director, Hatfield Park.
He replaces Anthony Downs, who is stepping down from the role after 25 years at Gascoyne Estates.
Rayner has more than 25 years’ experience in the real estate sector and previously held positions at CBRE, LendLease, Marks & Spencer and British Land.
As estate director, he will play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of the organisation’s evolution. His remit includes enhancing the estate’s existing property portfolio; delivering strategic sites – including homes and employment spaces – across Hertfordshire; strengthening the Hatfield Park Leisure business; and advancing the estate’s commitment to regenerative agriculture and continuous cover forestry.
