Global Holdings Management Group has let 40,410 sq ft at 20 Whitfield Street in London to footwear brand Dr Martens on a 15-year lease.

Global Holdings Management Group acquired the former transport police building in 2023 and is set to complete the comprehensive refurbishment of it this year.

Designed by Hale Brown Architects and delivered by contractor Make One, the refurbishment project includes new facades, multiple terraces, cycle storage provision, commuter facilities and an additional penthouse floor.

Dr Martens is relocating to the building from two London offices where the leases are about to expire.

Josh Lawrence, chief executive of Global Holdings Management Group UK, said: “20 Whitfield Street is a prime workspace located in a well connected part of London making it the ideal destination for Dr Martens’ new home. Throughout the refurbishment, we have worked closely with our design partners to create a working environment which helps attract and retain talent and enable collaboration. Exceptional design and a strong amenity offer are core elements of any Global Holdings Management Group building and the reason why we are able to attract premium occupiers such as Dr Martens to our workspaces.”

Bluebook and Savills are leasing agents for 20 Whitfield Street. Kinney Green acted on behalf of Dr Martens.
