WH Kerkham has secured planning consent for a new housing development at Cheney Hill in Heacham.

Designed by Tate + Co, the scheme will transform a former 6.15-hectare agricultural site into a sustainable new neighbourhood, delivering low carbon homes and extensive public green spaces that link directly into the village.

Julian Kerkham, director at WH Kerkham, said: “We’re delighted that this project has received planning approval and look forward to bringing forward a development that contributes positively to Heacham’s future. Our aim has always been to create a place where people feel connected to nature, to their neighbours and to the wider village. By working closely with the local authorities and design team at Tate + Co, we’ve ensured this is a scheme that delivers real community value.”

Jerry Tate, founder and director of Tate + Co, added: “This project is about more than building houses, it is about creating a place that strengthens Heacham’s community fabric. By providing new green spaces, safe walking and cycling routes, and thoughtfully designed homes, the development will not only meet local housing needs but also deliver lasting benefits for existing residents. We are proud to help shape a neighbourhood that respects the village’s character while looking to the future.”
