Food charity The Bread and Butter Thing (TBBT) has agreed a deal with Indurent on a 25,000 sq ft unit at the Lyntown Trading Estate in Eccles, Greater Manchester.
As demand for the charity’s services grew, its former unit in Manchester became increasingly unsuitable with limited room for storage, staff welfare facilities and external parking.
Units H1-H3 at Lyntown Trading Estate, which is located off the A57 Liverpool Road, provide more than double the size of the charity’s previous premises and the site also benefits from a large self-contained yard.
David Newman, partner at Fisher German, which advised the charity on the letting, said: “This was a really rewarding deal to be involved in because you can see first-hand the difference The Bread and Butter Thing is making in communities across Greater Manchester and beyond. We have worked with TBBT for a number of years now, and it is impressive to see how much they are growing.
“Their old premises simply could not keep up with the scale they are now operating at, so finding somewhere that gave them room to breathe, grow and operate efficiently was crucial. Our knowledge of the market in Greater Manchester and previous work with Indurent made this deal as smooth as it could be. TBBT now have the space and infrastructure to focus on what they do best, which is helping families who are really feeling the pressure.”
