JLL has appointed Alistair Meadows as head of international capital for UK capital markets.
Meadows has more than 30 years of global property industry experience, including 15 years at JLL, having joined the firm in Singapore in 2010, where he led the international capital group in Asia Pacific for seven years.
Since returning to the UK in 2017, he has held several leadership roles within JLL, most recently leading life sciences and alternative investment across EMEA.
In his new role, Meadows will work closely with JLL’s UK capital markets teams, with a particular focus on London, to enhance investor coverage, originate new business and provide real-time insight into active global capital flows.
Julian Sandbach, head of UK capital markets at JLL, said: “This strategic appointment comes at a time when international capital consistently accounts for approximately 50% of UK transaction volumes, with London maintaining its position as the leading city globally for cross-border real estate investment. Ali’s extensive global experience and proven track record in connecting capital across borders make him ideally suited to lead this critical function. His appointment will be instrumental in ensuring we are best positioned to connect international capital with UK opportunities in an increasingly competitive and evolving market.”
Meadows added: “I’m excited to take on this role at such a dynamic time for international capital flows into the UK. Having spent seven years building relationships with investors across Asia Pacific and the past several years deepening my understanding of UK and EMEA markets, I’m looking forward to leveraging these connections to create exceptional outcomes for our clients. The UK remains a cornerstone destination for global real estate investment, and I’m committed to ensuring JLL continues to lead in connecting the right capital with the right opportunities.”
