Colliers has appointed Alex Sturgess as a director in its hotels agency team.

Sturgess, who has more than 26 years of experience in the hotel sector, most recently served as a director at Savills where he spent the past seven and half years advising private, corporate, institutional, international and UK domestic clients on the disposal and acquisition of hotel businesses and portfolios throughout London and the Home Counties.

In his new role, Sturgess will continue to focus on advising clients across the full spectrum of hotel advisory services with a particular emphasis on the Central London market.

Julian Troup, head of hotels agency at Colliers, said: “We are excited to welcome Alex to the Colliers hotels team. His extensive knowledge of the London market, combined with his well-rounded expertise spanning investment, and development advisory, will be invaluable as we continue to expand our service offering. We look forward to working with him to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.”

Sturgess added: “I am pleased to be joining Colliers at such an exciting time for the hotel sector. I look forward to working with the team to build on Colliers’ strong reputation in the market and to help our clients navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead in what remains a dynamic and resilient sector.”
