Newsteer has strengthened the firm’s development consultancy team with the appointment of James Dewey as director and head of CPO.

Dewey is an expert in the CPO field and his experience ranges from infrastructure and regeneration projects, including HS2, to commercial, industrial, residential and leisure projects.

He previously held roles at Drivers Jonas Deloitte and Cushman & Wakefield, and he most recently worked for Gateley Hamer.

David Conboy, director and head of development consultancy at Newsteer, said: “James brings real depth and experience to our development consultancy team. His expertise will be a huge asset to clients working through complex land assembly and compensation challenges, helping them navigate the full CPO process.”

Dewey added: “From obtaining and implementing powers to negotiating compensation, CPOs can be complex. Bringing clarity to every stage of the process benefits all stakeholders enormously. I’m delighted to now be in a position to extend those benefits to Newsteer clients.”
