Specialist rural land practice Rural Solutions has appointed Emily Richardson as a consultant in its rural consultancy team.

Richardson joins Rural Solutions from the Country Land and Business Association (CLA) where she served as rural surveyor and national tourism adviser.

In her new role, she will be based in Rural Solution’s head office in Skipton, North Yorkshire, and will work with the wider rural consultancy team to advise clients across the UK on their options for development and diversification of their rural land and property assets.

Sally Ormiston, director at Rural Solutions, said: “Emily’s experience, working for a national organisation within the rural land sector, will be an asset to our nationwide client base at a time when strategic advice is more crucial than ever amid an evolving rural development landscape. Our team continues to grow as we respond to client demand for advice on the diversification of rural estates and assets.”

Richardson added: “This role is a natural progression for me and will enable me to utilise the experience I gained in my former position advising CLA members across the country. Back in 2023, I undertook a week’s work experience with the Rural Solutions team, gaining an early appreciation of the organisation’s strong team ethos and pragmatic approach to rural consultancy. I am delighted to now be returning to the business as a consultant.”
