Cambridge-based video games company Jagex has signed for circa 12,200 sq ft of office space at the One Granta building at Granta Park.

Jagex has taken part of the ground floor of the building at the life sciences and technology campus for its new HQ. The on-site amenity provision at Granta Park, which counts the likes of Illumina, Pfizer and Gilead as tenants, includes a gym, nursery, clubhouse and restaurant.

Keeley Vaughan-Davies, chief people and culture officer at Jagex said: “This year we celebrate our 25th anniversary and we are incredibly excited to begin our next chapter at One Granta. More than a new headquarters, it is a deliberate investment in our people. We have built an environment equipped with modern technology and purpose-designed collaboration spaces so that everyone can do their best work, whether on site or working in a hybrid pattern.

“The space is made to bring people together, spark creativity and innovation, and help teams deliver results side-by-side. Our new home also reflects Jagex’s commitment to our environmental, social and governance goals. One Granta is a modern, sustainable workplace designed to promote wellbeing and connectivity, and it sits within Granta Park’s wider campus, with its excellent facilities and green surroundings on our doorstep. By investing in a future focused workspace, we are setting ourselves up for the next 25 years: giving our people the tools, the spaces and the environment to thrive, collaborate and grow together.”

George Craig, partner at Bidwells, which advised Jagex on the deal, added: “There is an emerging trend across the Golden Triangle for occupiers choosing highly flexible innovation buildings that can accommodate a broad range of business needs. Leveraging our deep expertise across both office and life sciences markets, we provided strategic insight throughout the acquisition process to secure the best workspace at the best value to suit our client, securing a modern studio to support collaboration and reflect Jagex’s unique culture.”

Cheffins and JLL are letting agents for the park.
