Mace has appointed Davendra Dabasia as chief operating officer for Consult. Davendra was previously Mace’s managing director for international and in addition to the COO role he will join the Mace executive board and take responsibility for boosting the consultancy group’s global delivery capability and growth.
As part of its growth plans for Mace Consult the organisation’s global structure will be refreshed and the new focus will be on four regional growth hubs: the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East and Africa. Management teams in each region will report directly to the Mace Consult board and Jason Millett, CEO for Consult.
Davendra joined Mace in 2007 and was involved in the delivery of a number of venues for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Over the past 15 years, he has worked across Mace’s consultancy business with a focus on global events and transport infrastructure delivery.
Millett said: “2022 was a landmark year for Mace Consult, as our long-term strategy of securing roles on major global infrastructure schemes saw us appointed to deliver programmes worth hundreds of billions of pounds around the world.
“As we look to build on that success in 2023, Davendra’s appointment as chief operating officer for Consult, taking his seat on the Mace executive board, will make a huge contribution to our business and help us take on our journey towards being the global programme delivery partner of choice.
Dabasia added: “I’m honoured to have been asked to join the Mace executive board and oversee the next stages of growth for our fantastic consultancy business. Over the next 12 months I’ll be working with our clients, our colleagues and the Consult leadership team to enhance our service offering, enhance our delivery and embed global best practise in teams and programmes around the world.”
