BioMed Realty has appointed William Clarke from Savills as the company’s new director of leasing in the UK.
Clarke has spent the last 10 years working in Savills’ Cambridge office where he was involved in the city’s office, R&D and lab leasing markets.
BioMed – a Blackstone portfolio company – owns and operates nearly 1m sq ft of Class A lab and office space in Cambridge and has a pipeline that will deliver up to 1m sq ft of additional Class A space for life science companies.
According to BioMed Realty’s data, there is less than 1% vacancy for lab/office space in Cambridge with more than 1m sq ft of demand.
