Dublin-headquartered residential investment and development platform Ardstone has secured planning approval for its amended plans for a large residential development at Milltown Park, Sandford Road, in Dublin.
The scheme will deliver 562 new homes, comprising 556 apartments and six courtyard houses, alongside a café/restaurant and crèche.
The latest application follows a substantial redesign of the proposals by Ardstone in response to concerns raised in legal challenges to two previous permissions for the site. Although permission had previously been secured, Ardstone elected to amend the scheme to address those concerns and provide a clearer route towards delivery.
The changes include reducing the overall number of homes from 636 to 562, reducing the maximum building height from 10 to eight storeys and retaining a substantial portion of the treeline along the western boundary.

We listened carefully to the concerns raised following the earlier permissions and made substantial changes to the scheme in response, including reducing its overall scale and height and providing greater separation from neighbouring homes.
