Avison Young has appointed Mark McKelvey as a director in the firm’s place team in its Newcastle office.
In his new role, McKelvey, who previously worked as land director at Bellway North East and was group projects director (strategic land) at Bellway, will deal with land transactions, planning, development and public sector consultancy.

He will reinforce our position as a leading advisor to the public sector across the region.”
Stuart Howie, head of regeneration at Avison Young, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Mark to Avison Young. His wealth of strategic land, residential and delivery experience further enhances our ability to resolve complex real estate challenges and deliver value for our clients.”
