Aviva Investors has appointed Rory Spriggs as an investment manager in the firm’s real estate equity team.
Spriggs joins from Legal & General where he was responsible for direct investments in long-term housing sectors and most recently helping launch its affordable housing fund. Prior to L&G, he worked for D2 Private, a pan-European investment firm.
In his new role, he will help drive the growth and scale of Aviva Investors’ housing strategies through strategic partnerships and co-investments, and will report in to Imogen Ebbs, head of strategic investment.
Ebbs said: “I am delighted to welcome Rory to the business. Aviva Investors has ambitious plans in Housing, which is a core constituent of our real estate strategy. Having already invested approximately £1.5bn into the sector, we expect to grow that commitment significantly over the next few years. Rory brings with him a wealth of experience across the whole sector, which I am sure will be invaluable as we continue to make strong progress in bringing these strategies to life for our investors.”
