Barratt David Wilson Homes has secured planning consent for 60 new homes at Leestone Park in Leighton-Buzzard.

The plans for the site, which will form part of the wider regeneration at Chamberlains Barn Quarry, replace previously approved plans, while keeping the total number of homes the same. The development will include affordable homes for local residents through shared ownership tenure.

The latest phase will comprise a range of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes built with energy efficiency in mind using a ‘fabric-first’ approach.

Lauren Potter, development director at Barratt David Wilson North Thames, said: “We are pleased to secure approval for this next phase at Leestone Park, which marks an important step in unlocking local housing delivery. Our updated plans will enable us to keep the development moving forward while maintaining the quality, design and green spaces that are so important to the community. With planning approval now secured, we look forward to progressing construction and bringing forward much-needed new homes for Leighton-Buzzard.”
